Our Story
DigitalNomads:media started as a small independent project in 2016, when remote work still felt like a niche choice and the phrase “digital nomad” belonged mostly to freelancers, founders, bloggers and people trying to build a different kind of life.
Back then, the dream was simple: work from anywhere, meet people building things, discover new cities, and prove that a career did not have to be tied to one office, one country or one version of success.
Then the project paused.
Life changed. Work changed. The internet changed. And eventually, the world caught up.
Remote work became normal. Workations became part of the conversation. Countries started creating digital nomad visas. More professionals began asking not only “Can I work from anywhere?” but “Where can I work well, legally, affordably and sustainably?”
That is why DigitalNomads:media is back.
Not as a glossy travel blog. Not as an escape fantasy.
As a practical resource for remote workers, digital nomads and location-independent professionals who need reliable information before choosing where to work, live or travel next.
About DigitalNomads:media
DigitalNomads:media is built for people who want more freedom, but still care about good decisions.
We publish guides on workations, digital nomad visas, remote work destinations, cost of living, coworking, internet reliability, tools, lifestyle design and the realities of building a life between places.
Our goal is to help readers move with more clarity.
Because working from anywhere is not only about beautiful views. It is also about visas, taxes, Wi-Fi, routines, health insurance, time zones, community, money, burnout and choosing places that actually fit your life.
We believe the future of work is more flexible, but flexibility needs better information.
That is what we are here to build.
Practical Clarity
We turn scattered information into useful guides for remote workers, digital nomads and location-independent professionals. The goal is not to romanticize the lifestyle, but to help people make better decisions.

We write for readers first. Some articles may include affiliate links or sponsored placements, but our editorial direction is built around usefulness, relevance and transparency.
